Following the great success of our ambitious research and development strategy, which has led to an exponential growth in student recruitment and student satisfaction, an opportunity has arisen to appoint a 1.0 FTE Lecturer in Criminology and Forensic Psychology to enable a successful implementation of our academic strategy across our Criminology and Forensic Psychology Programmes as well as the development of further portfolio opportunities.

Candidates for the Lectureship should have a track record of research in any area of Criminology or Forensic Psychology which complements current research in the Institute, evidenced by successful independent research activity including publications in peer-reviewed journals and potential for securing external research funding.

Working with the Criminology and Psychology staff team and students, you will among other activities, make a key contribution to designing, developing and delivering new and existing undergraduate and post-graduate Criminology and Forensic Psychology programmes. You will also contribute to our vibrant research culture and excellent student learning experience.

Ideally, candidates will have a broad range of research methods, knowledge and skills. You must also be able to demonstrate innovative, effective and inspirational teaching and learning for students at undergraduate and postgraduate level. You will be committed to ensuring that our students are well supported and enjoy their experience with us.

The successful candidate will be pro-active, enthusiastic and enjoy working as a member of a small team.
