The Aldingbourne Trust is looking for a creative, energetic and confident Education, Events & Community Engagement Coordinator to help bring learning to life at our Country Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with people, thrives outdoors, and has a passion for delivering exciting, hands‑on experiences for children, schools, community groups and visitors.
In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll help shape the way thousands of people learn, explore and connect with our amazing site.
What You’ll Do - Plan, deliver and continuously improve curriculum‑linked education sessions for schools and learning groups.
- Work with internal teams to build relationships with community groups, expanding engagement and participation.
- Use our unique outdoor spaces to design experiential, inclusive and interactive learning experiences.
- Develop creative activities suitable for a range of ages, abilities and learning needs.
- Build strong, positive partnerships with teachers, schools and local organisations.
- Collaborate with our Visitor Experience Team to create year‑round events and hands‑on activities that boost visitor numbers and income generation.
- Act as a key connector between education and visitor experience, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for all.
- Support and mentor volunteers or casual staff involved in learning and events programmes.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of activities, using feedback and insights to drive continual improvement.
What We’re Looking For Essential - Experience delivering fun, engaging and practical education sessions for schools or community groups.
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and able to handle multiple priorities.
- Experience supporting or mentoring volunteers or staff.
Desirable - A degree or professional qualification in Education, Teaching or a related field.
- Experience delivering curriculum‑linked learning.
- Qualifications or experience in outdoor, environmental, or experiential education.
- Additional training in SEND or inclusive teaching approaches.
- Experience contributing to visitor experience or public‑facing activities.
