Role Summary
We are
seeking
a dedicated and
reliable Care Centre Operative to join our team.
Our Rotherham
Distribution Hub stocks medical supplies which are distributed
by van to our clients in the local area. You do not need
medical experience for this position.
Reporting to the Care Centre Manager, you will
play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of
the Care Centre. Your responsibilities will include supporting
day-to-day activities,
maintaining
high standards
of service, and
contributing to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly
and professionally with both internal and external customers,
consistently promoting Fittleworth’s values and reputation.
- Support the smooth and efficient operation of the Care Centre,
contributing to a positive, safe, and well-organised working environment.

Accurately pick, check, pack, and dispatch customer orders,
ensuring timely and precise fulfilment tailored to individual
customer needs.

Monitor stock levels and manage inventory, including ordering
packing materials, restocking shelves, and placing emergency
orders for out-of-stock items when required.

Receive and process deliveries, checking goods against
delivery notes and maintaining accurate records.

Conduct quarterly stock checks and support stock control
processes to ensure inventory accuracy.

Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the Care
Centre to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Communicate effectively with the Customer Service Department
and other teams to ensure seamless operations and resolve any
issues promptly.

Contribute to achieving Care Centre Key Performance Indicators
(KPIs) and take an active role in continuous improvement initiatives.

Demonstrate Fittleworth’s core values in all aspects of the
role, fostering a collaborative and respectful workplace.

Support additional projects and carry out other reasonable
duties as assigned by the Care Centre Manager, Managing Director,
or European Financial Director.

Flexibility to work overtime when required to meet business needs.

Confidently carry out required responsibilities when lone
working or in the absence of the Care Centre Manager.
Skills and Experience
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to interact effectively and professionally with customers,
colleagues, and external partners.

Highly organised with excellent time management skills, able
to prioritise tasks and manage workload efficiently.

Proactive and self-motivated, demonstrating the ability to
work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Comfortable using computer systems and technology.

Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in order
processing and inventory management.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight
deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Previous
experience in a
warehouse or
logistics
environment is
desirable but not mandatory as full training will be provided.
