An Installation Coordinator is required to co-ordinate the installation service provided to customers and provide technical support service to the company, including creation of design plans for automated gates and barriers using CAD software.

This is a really fantastic opportunity to progress and develop your career quite quickly replacing the Installation Manager for the business within 6 months to 1 year.

What will the Installation Coordinator be doing?

  • Attend site visits with Sales and Installation Managers to meet clients and carry out surveys.
  • Each project will be handed over for you to manage from this point.
  • Prepare working drawings in Solidworks and Visualize, send for client approval & planning applications, to manufacturers for gate and steelwork fabrication and to building contractors for groundworks.
  • Be the point of contact for clients throughout the installation process, including managing design changes and keeping them up to date with progress.
  • Participate in meetings, either online or in person, with customers, building contractors or any other relevant parties.
  • Liaise with suppliers to finalise quotes, place orders and book in deliveries.
  • Manage the engineering team's diaries, and ensure all necessary components needed for each installation are in place prior to start date.
  • Issue handover packs and warranty certificates on completion of each installation.

What skills does the Installation Coordinator need?

  • Knowledge of Solidworks or equivalent CAD software essential.
  • Ability to understand the engineering principles of automated gate and barrier construction, as well as the desire to learn the industry.
  • Experience of working in an engineering CAD environment advantageous.
  • Competent with Microsoft office.
  • Good numeracy and computer skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate a logical approach to resolving technical scenarios.
  • Must pass a security vetting check.
