Finance Assistant

Full Time: 8.30am-5pm

Salary negotiable + free lunches + full study support for studiers

Currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join a highly reputable, well-known Brighton based organisation. The position will be focused on accounts payable duties, taking full ownership of that area of the finance function, whilst also supporting colleagues across other areas of finance. This organisation offers excellent progression opportunities and will also support study for those studying towards professional accounting qualifications.

This will be a busy role which will report directly to The Head of Finance as part of a medium sized accounts team. Key attributes that are necessary for this role are good attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work quickly and effectively on own initiative. It is also necessary that candidates be familiar with Excel and have strong communication and time management skills.

Duties to include but are not limited to:

• Coding, authorising and processing invoices.
• Reconciling supplier statements.
• Processing expense claims
• Undertaking weekly BACS and Cheque payment runs.
• Making payments online
• Maintain an invoice log of un-authorised invoices
• Managing aged creditors and producing aged creditors reports.
• Management of the Petty Cash
• Cover for Sales Ledger and Credit Control
• Ad hoc reports as required by the Head of Finance
• Assisting the wider accounts team as required
