We are a successful, modern university with clear values and a long history in Higher Education located in a beautiful region of the South Coast of England. The Institute of Sport is a vibrant department of the University of Chichester with wide-ranging accolades and a variety of facilities and expertise to support colleagues in their roles.


This is a new part-time position working 18.5 hours per week within the Institute of Sport, and the successful candidate will assist in developing the provision in exercise testing and prescription for clinical populations i.e. exercise referral. The post holder will work collaboratively with academic and professional services staff to drive the development and delivery of a creative & effective exercise professional development programme at the University.


The role will also support and mentor exercise and health placements, alongside practical delivery of Skills Active Endorsed programmes leading to Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS) qualifications.


We are looking for a pro-active, enthusiastic and approachable team player who is able to work independently. Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate experience in working within exercise referral and health and exercise education. You will be used to building networks and groups and must have experience of mentoring individuals.


Educated to a minimum of Degree standard in a related sport and or exercise area e.g. Sport and Exercise Science, you will need a recognised exercise/GP referral qualification (minimum REP's Level 3).
