An award winning Sussex accountancy firm is looking to hire a Private Client Tax Manager within their Lewes office.

You could be ready to take the next step up the career ladder from Tax Senior or you may already be a Tax Manager with experience in leading a team but looking to move into a more Private Client focussed role.

Our client is also open to candidates from a legal background with a STEP qualification who are open for a career change into an accountancy practice.

Having recently gained their ICAEW probate accreditation, this role would fit within our clients wider Private client tax team and help to strengthen their offering within this sector.

In this job, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects including the tax affairs of both trusts and individuals. Wills and inheritance tax, in the form of IHT400 and IHT100, will also be a large part of your new role.

There is off street parking next to the office and Lewes train station is just a 10 minute walk away, so is easily commutable from a large portion of Sussex.

About you

• You could have a range of qualifications, from Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) to Tax Technician (ATT) or Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA).
• A desire to develop a wider range of skills within Private Client Tax and take on a new challenge.
• Be able to engage in good conversations with clients about potentially difficult topics in order to enhance business development.

• Show willingness to gain extra qualifications such as becoming a qualified willwriter from the Institute of Professional Willwriters.

The salary associated with this role has been set by the agency and should therefore be viewed as market rate.
