The South Downs National Park is England’s newest National Park and it sits in a beautiful part of Southern England. Working in our Major Projects Team and working with colleagues across the organisation, you will be involved in the co-ordination and administration of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) for the Authority (which was introduced in April 2017) and helping with the identification and delivery of projects through the Authority’s Infrastructure Business Plan (formerly the Infrastructure Delivery Plan).

Given the varied nature of the work of the Major Projects Team, this role also offers the opportunity to suitable candidates to

• support the work of the Planning Policy Team in developing planning policies, including work on the emerging South Downs Local Plan and other supplementary planning documents to help with the delivery of strategic sites and other SDNPA priorities, and
• be the case officer dealing with planning related enquiries and applications and supporting the work of the wider team on major development proposals.

You will also liaise with a wide variety of consultees both inside the SDNPA and externally.
