Systems Accountant - Sun

A rapidly expanding business in central Woking is seeking a Systems Accountant, familiar with Sun accounting software to manage all aspects of the Sun accounting System and other financial systems.

Core Duties will include:
• Ensure integrity of all numbers in the accounts system
• Manage the change to debtors accounting and reporting, including the data transfer of historic transactions
• Enhance the transfer of data from old system to Sun and ensuring financial and accounting implications of any changes to old system have been considered and addressed.
• Manage all the financial recording aspects of the direct cash process where payments are collected at booking time.
• Assist with the development of the functionality of the working capital systems e.g. on e-mailing partner remittances and customer statements, producing accurate aged debt and aged creditor reports; and providing additional reporting as necessary
• Assist with the implementation and integration of new financial systems e.g. Purchase Order system
• Ensure that all reports from the accounts system are complete and accurate
• Set up cost centres within Sun and analyse usage, subset codes
• Ensure all of the linkages between different sub and main ledgers within Sun are operating correctly
• Design and lead the training of all AAT finance staff on how to use Sun most effectively
• Manage and identify any available Sun upgrades

Previous experience within a similar position, preferably fully qualified, strong technical knowledge, being an expert in Sun accounting software and an entrepreneurial spirit.
