MILL CHASE ACADEMY, BORDON
Salary Grade: MPR / UPR
Start Date: April 2017 or September 2017
In October 2016, MCA was inspected by Ofsted for the first time since becoming an academy. Inspectors have judged the school to be "Good" in all categories.
This is further good news for us as we celebrated our best ever GCSE results in August and have recently received confirmation that the Education Funding Agency and Hampshire County Council are contributing over GBP 17million to our new GBP 30million buildings.
Ofsted reported that that "Pupils have consistently positive attitudes to their learning and that parents, pupils and staff recognise good behaviour as a strength of the school. Pupils are polite and respectful towards each other and their teachers as they move around the school."
They also reported that, "Pupils are safe, happy and well looked after. Teachers are passionate about doing their best for the pupils they teach and pupils are making increasingly good progress and standards are rising because of improvements to teaching."
As an excellent and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher, you will join an active, forward-thinking Department, to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 and the whole ability range, working together to create an extremely positive learning culture based on high expectations, the building of Mathematics skills and a huge enthusiasm for the subject.
The role offers excellent opportunities for a well-qualified, creative and dynamic Mathematics specialist who will build on the success of the department. You will be an engaging, forward-thinking and dedicated professional who is willing to commit to extra-curricular activities that add value to the academy and community. If you are a Newly Qualified Teacher, you would be offered a comprehensive induction programme and all staff are given the opportunity to engage in further professional development.
We are proud to be part of the University of Chichester Academy Trust, opening opportunities for staff to access quality research and receive personal support from an institution recognised locally and nationally as outstanding in its Initial Teacher Training provision. The leadership team of the Academy is progressive and has the vision, drive and support to lead the Academy on a journey of excellence, with staff that have a passion for teaching and learning. Challenging, inspiring and encouraging students to excel as individuals and raising aspirations through quality teaching and learning to develop students' academic and life-skills is important to us, with our community at its heart.
