Business Development Manager

Godalming, Surrey

£30,000 - £35,000 + car allowance (£5K) + benefits and commission

Due to growth, a newly created role for a Business Development Manager has arisen to join the sales team to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling or other means of generating interest from potential clients.

The Business Development Manager will proactively pursue new business opportunities, and they are 'sales hungry'; they are ambitious in using their exceptional sales talent to build strong client relationships, build rapport, negotiate and close deals.

Principal Responsibilities

• Meet sales and financial targets set by the Head of Business Development
• Cold calling as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
• Pursue sales leads, and develop strong new business relationships
• Understand client needs, and match these with services
• Plan approaches and pitches.
• Work with the team to develop proposals
• Visit and meet with potential clients to manage the entire sales process
• Plan and prepare persuasive presentations and proposals to clients
• Negotiate, using the full range of sales techniques
• Close deals

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Proven track-record in new business B2B field sales (stable career history)
• Full knowledge of the sales process
• Confident negotiator and ability to close the deal
• Strong client management skills
• Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation
• UK driving license with own car

Beneficial if you also have:

• Background within construction recruitment or construction contracting
• Experience within Umbrella/CIS/Sole Trader Services sector
• Experience within a Limited Company (PSC) accountancy practice
