Assistant Accountant – AAT - PRACTICE EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL

£25,000 – £30,000 depending on experience

MUST HAVE PRACTICE EXPERIENCE

A fantastic opportunity has become available to join a well established Accountancy Practice based in Camberley. They are looking for an Assistant Accountant who is AAT qualified and has experience working within a practice. The Assistant Accountant's responsibilities will be to prepare sole trader, partnership and limited company accounts as well as other Accountancy duties that will include:-

• Preparing corporation tax returns and business tax computations
• Book-keeping and preparation of management accounts and VAT returns
• Preparation of Forms P11d, company secretarial forms/ submissions, personal tax returns as required
• Assist on auditing assignments as required
• Assist with ad hoc special assignments as required
• Undertake billing and credit control
• Responsibility for and management of clients' servicesTo be successful in this role you will have the following skills:-

• AAT Level 4 minimum
• Sound double entry
• Sound knowledge of VAT and business tax
• Good IT skills inc. Excel and Word
• Knowledge of IRIS Accounts Production and Business Tax, Sage, Xero and Quickbooks an advantage (or alternative accounting/tax packages)
• Knowledge of personal tax an advantage
• Auditing skills and knowledge of IRIS Openaudit an advantage
