My client are a world class business who have an excellent opportunity has for a Procurement and Commercial Manager based in Thatcham to support the Utility Solutions business.
Supporting the Lead Procurement and Commercial Manager, you will deliver contracts that meet the sourcing strategies for the project pipeline of work. You will procure and manage complex, long term and strategic contracts and liaise with internal customers, IT, Legal, Regulation and other functions as necessary to ensure that all commercial, business, legal and regulatory requirements are covered.
Your responsibilities will extend to the provision of a procurement service for internal customers that meets operational deadlines, upholds my clients commercial interests, ensures value for money and is compliant with legislation. You will ensure contractual terms minimise legal and commercial risks and ensure a fair allocation of risk.
You will maintain effective supplier relationships to ensure that they consistently meet or exceed business expectations, including regular reports on supplier performance. You will ensure the successful management of contracts post award. You will assist and contribute to the delivery of the Supplier Relationship process and work with the business to identify ongoing opportunities and risks throughout the performance of the contract and establish plans / mechanisms to realise / mitigate these as necessary.
To be successful in this role, you should have a good knowledge and experience of procuring and managing contracts and you should be proficient in the use of P2P procurement related systems. You should have an understanding of the Supply Chain concept and how to improve it and have a good knowledge of forms of contract, supplier and sub-contracts, and contract management post award including supplier vetting, development and management.
